Year 8 Performing Art: Drama


Overview

Year 8 Drama students and teachers with work together to devise and perform a mix of virtual, live and installation theatre. The students will make the creative decisions for this project and will learn and apply their Drama and theatre knowledge and skills through a creative development process.

There will be opportunities for students to perform if they choose, just as there will be options for students to contribute to the process through script writing, stage management, designing and making costumes, props and sets as well as the technical aspects of theatre and installation.

What do you do?

In studying this subject you will:

  • participate in creative development workshops
  • explore the possibilities of virtual performance spaces
  • contribute to a virtual ensemble performance

What skills do you develop?

Through the Drama course, students will develop their skills in:
