Year 7 Mathematics
In Year 7 Mathematics students will study ways to present numerical data and issues associated with it, geometry of triangles and parallel lines, percentages, fractions and decimals, basic probability and graphing.
These topics will be introduced and explored with automated online quizzes, online lessons, private journaling and project work.
What do you do?
Students will be introduced to their studies working with online teachers. A wider variety of formats will be used including written journaling, audio visual and fully interactive online lessons.
Along with written notes and journaling, automated quiz style learning spaces will be used to practise and develop skills in preparation for working in projects with a real-world focus.
What skills do you develop?
Students will develop the ability to use a variety of tools and resources to build their learning skills. They will learn the value of different approaches to mathematical study and problem solving.
The variety of learning spaces in which students will work will provide them with an understanding of how they can measure their own understanding of new ideas.
While some study and project work will be done offline, a reliable internet connection will be required for successful completion of this course.
