Year 7 Drama

Drama can be performance, but it is also exploration and imagination, collaboration and independent projects. Drama is telling stories in different ways. Drama is a safe space for finding out about you and the world around you.

In this course, you will build your skills and knowledge of Drama independently. You will have the option of coming together with your fellow classmates in face-to-face workshops to create and make a shared work. Weekly online lessons will be a central point of contact. These will provide an opportunity for you to feel comfortable with other students and their ideas before meeting.
While improvisation activities are fun, immediate and provide energetic ways to build confidence, communication and social skills, it is important for you to remember that Drama isn’t just about acting; there are many other aspects of creating and making theatre. All students can make valuable contributions depending on their interests and learning program.
