Year 7 Drama
Drama can be performance, but it is also exploration and imagination, collaboration and independent projects. Drama is telling stories in different ways. Drama is a safe space for finding out about you and the world around you.
In this course, students will build their skills and knowledge of Drama independently through the online course as well as having the option of coming together in face-to-face workshops with their fellow students to create and make a shared work. Weekly online lessons will be a central point of contact for these students and provide an opportunity for students to feel comfortable with each other and their ideas before they meet at workshops.
While improvisation activities are fun, immediate and energetic ways to build confidence, communication and social skills, it is important for students to remember that Drama isn’t just about acting; there are many other aspects of creating and making theatre to which all students can make valuable contributions depending on their interests and learning program.
