The Centrelink Assistance for Isolated Children fund is available for students isolated due to geographical location, special needs or circumstances.

If you have a student enrolled with DECV due to health issues, pregnancy, psychological difficulties or learning difficulties you may be eligible for financial assistance through Centrelink Assistance for Isolated Children under the Special need rules.

See their website at https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/services/centrelink/assistance-isolated-children for details of eligibility and application requirements.

Thanks to one of our parents, Deborah Gray, for bringing this to our attention.

Across the Distance enews is the Distance Education Centre Victoria's weekly publication which is sent to all currently enrolled students, their parents and supervisors. Current edition articles can be found on the DECV website home page. Please contact the publisher by email if you would like access to articles from previous enews publications.
